I believe strongly in giving students an opportunity to be successful in all areas of school life, creating the right climate to allow them to prosper and benefit from the privileges and responsibilities of being a member of this community.
Welcome to The Bridge Academy
Bridge Academy opened in September 2007. We educate 900 students in Years 7-11. Our sixth form which opened in September 2012 caters for 250 students in Year 12-13. Specialising in music and mathematics, we teach a broad and rich curriculum for students of all abilities.
The Bridge Academy gives young people the best possible education whatever their background or ability and helps them to develop a life-long enthusiasm for learning.
A culture of high standards and achievement enables students to develop their full potential, building the skills, confidence and self-belief they need to become responsible and successful adults.
The Bridge Academy creates an inspiring, secure and inclusive environment where innovative thinking and creativity is encouraged and aspirations are raised.
It is a school for the whole community with students, staff, governors, parents and members of the local community working together for mutual benefit.

Bridge Academy Ofsted Report 2013
On receipt of our Ofsted Report in January, we submitted a number of factual changes to Ofsted to be incorporated into the report. Our submissions were investigated by Ofsted and I am pleased to report that a number of changes were accepted and amendments have been made.
Goodbye and Good Luck to our Year 11 Students as they commence their Study Leave
Your Our Year 11 Students commenced their study leave on Tuesday, 21st May and the staff at the Academy would like to join me in wishing them good luck as they prepare for this extremely important time in their young lives.

Artemis Urban Debate League 2013 Champions
Students travelled to the leading international law firm: ‘Shearman and Sterling’, to take part in the final round of the ‘Artemis Urban Debate League’ final 2013. The top eight schools arrived from across the nation.
