Debate Mate

Debate Mate is an external organisation who run after-school debating clubs in primary and secondary schools across the UK. Here at Bridge Academy, we have a superb track record with Debate Mate – we won the Urban League cup in 2013, the National Cup (the top competition) in 2018, and came a close 2nd in the 2021 National Cup. Through a series of fun and interactive exercises and games, Debate Mate helps students improve their critical and creative thinking, debating skills, team work, leadership, aspirations, resilience, and self-management.
