Our aim is to have more Year 13 students going to top third universities than the national average. This is achieved.

In 2020:

  • 82% accepted university places
  • Most students who accepted places at university are first in their families to do so
  • One student went to Cambridge and one to Oxford
  • 48% of Bridge students accepted places at top third universities and 26% at prestigious Russell Group universities - significantly above national averages
  • Popular degree choices were Biological Sciences, Business Studies, Computer Science, Economics, English, Engineering, Law, Mathematics, Media Studies, Medicine, Pharmacology, Physics, Psychology and Sociology
  • 1% accepted apprenticeships

You can see which universities our students have chosen to go to since our first cohort of Year 13 leavers in 2014.

Since our first group of Year 13 leavers, 10 students have accepted places at either Oxford or Cambridge and 5 have gone to US universities, 2 on academic scholarships including a Fulbright scholarship, and 3 on sports scholarships.
