Insight Talks 2021 / 2022


Students, parents and carers, and Bridge alumni are invited to our Careers Insight Talks. 

The panel-style events are an opportunity to hear from industry experts about a particular sector or type of career, the jobs that are available, the skills and qualities that it takes to succeed, and the various career pathways into the industry including graduate and apprenticeship routes.  Time is allocated for small group conversations with the speakers.

Talks for 2021/22 include: 

  • 16 March: careers in the low carbon economy, sustainability and Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) careers as it is part of Science Week and our environmental programme.  Speakers included a Geotechnical Engineer from Ørsted, a speaker from environmental campaigns agency Hubbub, the Senior Inclusive Economy Officer at the London Borough of Hackney Council, a mechanical engineer for HDR Inc, a global design firm, and a decarbonisation engineer at Transport for London (TFL).  

  • 2.45pm, Wednesday 27 April:  careers in the creative industries, media and communications

  • 3.45pm, Thursday 28 April: careers in medicine, wellbeing, healthcare, fitness and sports

  • 2.45pm, Wednesday 4 May: careers in financial services, law, accountancy and business
