How would you like to be an active member of the school community?
At the Bridge Academy we value community and are always seeking ways to better connect with parents and carers. As a result, we would like to form a Parent Ambassador Network and invite you to become part of this community group.
What is a Parent Ambassador?
A Parent Ambassador is part of a network of parents who volunteer to support the school in two main ways:
Events and Activities
Being on hand for open evening events, to welcome and share your experiences with prospective students and their families. Volunteering to speak to students or providing links to you own network for assemblies, insight events, careers fair and other school events.
Opportunity for parents to have open discussions about aspects of the school program and gather collective concerns and ideas. These will be fed back to Ms Mensah, the School Link for the Parent Ambassador Network, to help inform future school policy.
How much time will I need to commit?
We understand that you have busy lives, with many juggling a variety of roles. Therefore, we would not want this to be a burdensome role and ask that you are free for one meeting, activity or event per academic year. By all means, if you can do more that would be great, but the minimum expectation is one interaction in an academic year.
Will I have to take time off work?
You will not be expected to take time off work or make any financial losses as a result of being part of the network. Where possible, meetings will be scheduled at times most convenient for all and any in school day activities will be open to parents to sign up based on their availability.
What do I need to do sign up?
There is no selection process! All parents and carers are eligible to join, all you need to do is register a few details here
Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information.
